The Application Process

Step 1: Orientation

The first step of being placed by the Silk Road workforce management is orientation. You must sign up on the application page to access the orientation. 

After signing up, you will receive an email inviting you to a Zoom meeting which is the orientation. Feel free to ask any questions or concerns you may have.

Be careful to select the right career you are applying for, whether assistant nurse or caregiver.

Step 2: Fill out the Consent form

The consent form is issued during the orientation to get your information. The information you provide helps give you the language kit.

Ensure the email you sign in is the same as the one you fill on the consent form to avoid inconvenience.

Step 3: Interview

During the orientation, you will be given self-study material to help with some Finnish language basics. Afterwards, you will receive an interview invite through your email. In this interview, you will be tested on the self-study material content. 

Step 4: Language Studies

In Finland, the official language is Finnish. After the orientation and filling of the consent form, you will be sent self-study material to kickstart you on the language. Concerning the interview in step three, questions will be from the self-study material. The self-study will take around 3 weeks, followed by the interview. Afterwards, you will be enrolled on free Finnish language training that will take 6-12 months to complete.

Step 5: Get your Employer

After 6 weeks of training, they will help you select an employer and get a work permit. Immediately after you complete your training, everything will be ready for you to travel and start working in Finland.

Step 6: Relocate to Finland
