Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Kent Future Student Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Nigerian passport holder or live in Nigeria
  • Be starting a full-time taught undergraduate or postgraduate program at one of the University of Kent’s UK campuses in September 2024
  • Have paid their tuition fee deposit by July 31, 2024
  • The scholarship is also open to advanced entry students starting their degree at Stage 2 or 3, as this will still be their first year of study at Kent
  • Applicants can hold the Kent Future Student Scholarship in addition to other awards and scholarships
  • The scholarship is only available to students assessed as overseas fee payers

Please note that applicants who have applied for an undergraduate course with a foundation year, a Masters with an integrated pre-Masters, distance learning programs, KMMS programs, or the Finance (Dual Award) MSc are not eligible for this scholarship.

Application Process

There is no separate application process for the Kent Future Student Scholarships. All eligible applicants who have paid their tuition fee deposit by the stated deadline of July 31, 2024 will be automatically contacted with a scholarship offer, which they will need to accept.

To pay the deposit, offer holders should visit the University of Kent’s online deposit payment portal at https://epay.kent.ac.uk/kentdeposits. Any queries regarding the scholarship can be directed to the email.
