Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Learn Africa Scholarships, you must:

  • Be a woman with citizenship of an African country
  • Be enrolled at an African university (for undergraduate applicants) OR
  • Hold a degree from an African university (for graduate applicants)
  • Meet the admission requirements of your chosen degree program in Spain/Portugal
  • Demonstrate strong academic performance
  • Be proficient in the language of instruction (Spanish, Portuguese or English)

The annual application period typically opens in early spring. To apply:

  1. Review the list of participating universities and degree programs on the Women for Africa Foundation website
  2. Contact the international office at your chosen university to begin the admission process
  3. Gather required documents, including transcripts, CV, reference letters, language test scores
  4. Complete the Learn Africa Scholarship online application form before the deadline
  5. Wait to be notified if you are selected for a scholarship

Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the selection committee. Successful applicants will be notified by summer.
