- Submit an application for admission to a PhD program at Imperial through the online admissions system, selecting the President’s PhD Scholarship option in the funding section
- Include a 2-page document with their application, consisting of:A personal statement explaining their motivations for applying to Imperial and the scholarship
- A research proposal outlining their intended research project
- Provide the names of two academic referees who can support their application (the proposed PhD supervisor should not be included)
Selection Process
The selection process for the Imperial College London President’s PhD Scholarship involves two stages:
- Departments at Imperial review candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and select a shortlist to present to the College Selection Panel.
- The College Selection Panel, comprising the Vice-Provost (Research), the Director of the Graduate School, and the Faculty Vice-Deans for Research, makes the final decisions based on candidates’ academic excellence and research potential.
