Overview
The Azerbaijan Government Scholarship is offered under two programs: the Educational Grant Program for Citizens of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Educational Grant Program for Citizens of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
These programs provide an opportunity for 40 selected candidates annually to study at leading universities in Azerbaijan, across various levels, including preparatory courses, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs, as well as general medicine and residency programs.

Application Process
To apply for the Azerbaijan Government Scholarship, follow these steps:

- Attach the required documents:Diplomas or transcripts from previous high school or university studies
- Copy of passport
- Health status document (including HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B, and C tests)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) or resume
- Motivation letter
- Proof of English proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent)
- Translate and notarize all documents into English or Russian.
- Submit the application and documents through the respective state entities of your country (Ministries, Embassies, etc.) or any Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Direct submissions will not be considered.
Tuition Fees in Azerbaijan
It’s worth noting that tuition fees in Azerbaijan are relatively affordable compared to many other countries in the region. For undergraduate degrees, tuition fees are capped at a maximum of 6,500 AZN (approximately $3,800) per academic year for both Azerbaijani and international students. Postgraduate degrees generally cost no more than 6,800 AZN (approximately $4,000) per year, while PhD programs cost around the same amount per academic year.
